2025 Better Together Annual Report

BETTER TOGETHER ANIMAL ALLIANCE 2025 ANNUAL REPORT

Each year, I’m reminded of the powerful bond between people and animals, and what’s possible when a community leads with compassion. I’m deeply grateful to the staff, volunteers, donors, and partners who make this work possible. As the largest animal welfare organization in our region, Better Together Animal Alliance (BTAA) serves as a safety net for animals and the people who love them. In 2025, we focused on breaking down barriers to care and reaching pets and families who might otherwise go without support.

We helped 1,471 animals find loving homes and provided 655 community spay and neuter services to reduce unwanted litters. Through Trap-Neuter-Return, we supported community cat colonies, helping more than 421 cats. We expanded outreach to rural areas and hosted a microchip and vaccine clinic in Post Falls, Idaho. Our Helpline kept pets with their families by offering guidance and resources, while our medical team provided lifesaving veterinary care for sick and injured stray animals. Through our local Home To Home program, 429 pets were featured on the platform, providing the opportunity to avoid a shelter stay all together. And, despite not holding stray dog contracts with the three municipalities, your support allowed us to continue helping vulnerable dogs found by community members, providing them with food, shelter, veterinary care, and a path forward.

No matter the circumstances, animals in our care received the medical attention they needed and a chance at a new beginning. People received compassionate, nonjudgmental support and the resources they needed to care for their pets.

I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved this year, but the need in our community remains. Your support helps provide everything from pet food to lifesaving veterinary care, keeping people and pets together whenever possible and ensuring that animals with nowhere else to go receive the care they deserve.

Looking ahead, with your support, we will continue showing up for the animals who need us most and the people who care about them, building a more humane region for all.
