Better Together Animal Alliance Assists Over 160 Animals at Clinic Held at Post Falls Animal Shelter

Ponderay, ID — This past Saturday, Better Together Animal Alliance (BTAA) and Post Falls Animal Shelter teamed up to host a vaccine and microchip clinic for the cats and dogs of North Idaho. Over 160 animals received vaccines and 120 pets were microchipped. Free pet food was also offered at the clinic, which was attended by pet owners from around the region.

The demand for affordable veterinary services such as vaccines and spay and neuter is high in our region, evidenced by event attendees waiting in line up to two hours before the event was set to begin. “We fill a critical gap in our region when we offer these clinics. People will come from hours away to have their cat or dog vaccinated and protected against life threatening diseases.” said Mandy Evans, BTAA Executive Director.

“Our longstanding partnership with the Post Falls Animal Shelter and the support of our volunteers and funders are critical to helping us reach over 8,000 animals each year”, said Evans.

This was the organization’s third vaccine clinic in Post Falls. Petco Love sponsored the vaccines and the ASPCA Northern Tier Shelter Initiative funded the microchips. Evans explained that thanks to the organization’s partners, North Idaho’s pets are healthier and more likely to find their way home if they go missing.
