How to become a volunteer
It's easy to get involved. Just follow these three simple steps and you'll be ready to help.

Fill out an application
Complete our quick online volunteer application to tell us a bit about yourself and your interests.

Attend orientation
Join an orientation session where you'll learn how we work and how you can best help our animals.

Start helping
Pick the opportunities that fit your schedule and start making a difference right away.
WAYS TO HELP
Volunteer opportunities
There’s a role for everyone, whatever your skills or interests.
Dog care & walking
Walk, socialize, and spend time with dogs waiting for their next family. (Must be 18 or older to volunteer with canine team.)
Cat care
Spend time with our cats, helping them stay happy and ready for adoption. (Must be 13 and older to volunteer with feline team.)
Thrift store
Help sort donations and assist customers at our thrift store in Ponderay.
Events
Lend a hand at adoption events, fundraisers and community outreach.
Administrative
Support our team with office tasks, data entry and front desk help.
Photography
Take great photos of our animals to help them get adopted faster.
