ABOUT FOSTERING
Through Better Together Animal Alliances’ foster program, thousands of animals have received special care before moving on to a new life with their families. More than 1,000 animals that come to BTAA each year need foster care before they are ready to find new homes, and this need continues to increase.
FOSTER OPPORTUNITIES INCLUDE:
• Animals too young for adoption
• Pregnant animals and nursing mothers with litters
• Animals that require supportive post-surgical care
• Animals too stressed by the shelter environment
The food, medication, kennels, toys, and other basic supplies you will need are provided. You provide an open heart and home and we’ll take care of the rest!
BTAA is a proud partner of Kitten College, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving outcomes for neonatal and underage kittens – the most vulnerable animals in animal welfare.
Kitten College aims to reduce euthanasia and improve quality of life for young kittens by providing education, training, and practical resources to shelters, rescues, foster caregivers, and communities.

Why This Matters
With the right education, support, and systems in place, even the most fragile kittens can survive and grow into healthy, adoptable companions. Education saves lives and partnerships make it possible.
